How To Plant a Garden Based on Your Cooking Style
Spring is coming and now is the time to start planning your Summer garden. How do you know what to plant? I’m here to help you figure out the best crops to plant-based on your personal cooking style and eating habits.
We grow a lot of tomatoes! I also plant onions, basil, cilantro, jalopeno peppers, and cucumbers. In late Spring before it gets too hot, we also grow Romaine and Bibb lettuce. Can you tell what we like to eat from our garden?
I made quite a few batches of pickles last year and canned a lot of salsa. I also made a few jars of tomato paste. We eat salads quite a bit and I love to cook with tomatoes, onions and basil. So our garden fits our personal tastes.
No matter your personal tastes or cooking styles, with this helpful list you can plant a garden that fits your family perfectly.

It’s incredibly easy to plan your garden around your personal tastes and cooking style. If you commonly mix or switch your cooking styles, you can always mix and match the vegetables you choose to plant in your garden. If you have limited space or you are a container gardener, I recommend a tomato plant or two and as many types of herbs as you have room for.
Are you ready to plant your garden? I hope this list helps bring a little inspiration to your garden planning this year.
